We choose this method of learning most often for practical reasons.
- You are a househusband or housewife (with a young child, for example).
- You work at home.
- You live far from the first language school.
- You want to learn from home without traveling.
- You work from June to August and can not participate in summer courses.
- You are in a position that requires your presence in business and your availability is variable (it is difficult to study with a teacher on site).
- You travel regularly.
If you are in one of these situations, here are the advantages to follow a distance language training.
- Disadvantage of transport and remoteness avoided.
- Flexibility and adaptability according to their availability (time, place).
- Interactivity and attractiveness of e-learning content (in the case where the teacher creates a part of its educational materials, including activities to make independently, exercises).
- Reduced logistical constraints for a company (no room to hire, employee travel, transportation costs, etc.).
- Gain autonomy of the learner.
This choice however requires significant predisposition "emotional autonomy." Indeed, some learners for whom the emotional aspect is essential prefer to take a lesson with a teacher present "in the flesh" rather than through their computer screen.
